Ice plant worker dies, 2 others hurt in Pagadian City chemical leak

One worker died and two others hurt in a chemical leak incident at an ice plant in Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur on Saturday evening.

Citing information reaching PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Luisito Santos reported Sunday morning on Super Radyo dzBB that the ammonia leak incident at past 6 p.m. on Saturday struck the Ramona Tukuran Fishing Corporation along Rizal Avenue.

One of the three workers in the ice plant died before reaching the hospital, while the two other victims were treated for minor injuries.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the ammonia leak. —LBG, GMA News
