Citing initial information from Legazpi City police chief Colonel Wilson Asueta, Bausa was shot dead at Barangay Cagbacong around 3:20 p.m.
The Legazpi police shared an initial report saying Bausa was visiting a friend in the village when he heard five gunshots on the way.
Two unidentified men reportedly approached him and instructed him to leave the area.
The investigation was still ongoing as of the report, but Legazpi police said they are not discounting the possibility of "communist groups" being behind the attack. — Margaret Claire Layug/MDM, GMA News
