Quake-affected Clark Airport passengers who paid for bus services to NAIA may ask for refund

The Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) on Friday said passengers whose flights were affected by the 6.1-magnitude earthquake last Monday are entitled to a refund if they paid for their bus fares going to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila.

In an advisory, the CIAC said the Department of Transportation ordered the company to provide free transportation services to displaced passengers affected by the recent temporary closure of the airport due to the Luzon temblor.

On Monday evening, April 22, up to Tuesday, April 23, Genesis buses provided passengers transportation services from the Clark International Airport in Pampanga to NAIA, it said.

"For those affected passengers who paid their bus fares on the said dates, you may ask for a refund, subject for validation," the CIAC said.

For refunds to be made, the airport operator said each passenger may provide the following:

  • Proof of Airline Ticket, Bus Ticket and Flight Information Details.
  • One valid government-issued ID (example: Passport, Driver’s license, Voter’s ID, SSS, GSIS, PhilHealth Card, etc).

Once these documents are complete, the CIAC said passengers may ask for a refund at any of the following places for convenience:

Clark International Airport – Passenger Assistance Desk (PAD)

Genesis Bus Terminals in Tarlac (09190722902); Baguio (09190722912); Cubao (09190722910); Pasay (09190722905); and Avenida (09190722928)

"Refunds may also be made thru bank deposits. Passengers may kindly email scanned copies of the said requirements to crkpassengerassistance@gmail.com along with your name, the name of the bank and savings account number," it said.

"After verification, CIAC will deposit refund amount to the passenger's bank account," it added. — MDM, GMA News
