Sara Duterte cries with HNP 12-0 victory in Davao City
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte said Wednesday that she cried upon learning that her city gave a full victory to the Senate bets of Hugpong ng Pagbabago.
“I am humbled as I bow. I am not a person who cries easily but when it was definite that Davao City delivered a 12-0 vote for senators of HNP, the tears flowed and the sobbing followed,” Duterte said in an Instagram post.
She said it was a first in the city and an assurance of Dabawenyos' love for her.
“A first in our city’s history. Daghang salamat sa inyong tanan. I have said that I feel alone everyday stressing over making sure Davao City is ok but when I need am in distress, Dabawenyos carry me on their backs,” she said.
The presidential daughter repeatedly thanked her constituents for their support to the administration bets.
“Sa tanan kalisod, baha, bagyo, ug kani nga election sa senador wala gyud ko ninyo gibiyaan. Gahilak ko nagsulat ani, salamat sa inyo,” she said.

“I promise to work harder until I break. I love you all,” she added, using hashtags DavaoCity and Life is Here.
Based on the partial, unofficial tally, former special assistant to the president Bong Go topped the senatorial race in Davao, followed by former Philippine National Police chief Ronald dela Rosa, Pia Cayetano, Cynthia Villar, Francis Tolentino, Sonny Angara, Imee Marcos, JV Ejercito, Koko Pimentel, Dong Mangudadatu, Bong Revilla, and Jinggoy Estrada.
On the 13th spot is Senator Grace Poe, followed by Lito Lapid.
