1 dead, 6 hurt in fire in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur

One person died and six were hurt after fire broke out in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur on Sunday.

The victim reportedly died due to cardiac arrest, but the Bureau of Fire Protection-Bislig considered the death as fire-related.

The fire, which started at 11:30 a.m., affected a big part of Market Site, Caramcam and Mangagoy, including houses and establishments.

Firemen were able to put the fire under control at 2 p.m.

A total of 344 families were affected by the fire.

Damage was estimated to cost P60 million.

No one was hurt in the incident.
