‘ISUSUNOD KO KAYO’

Suspect in 7th grader's slay shows up near wake, threatens classmates

The suspect in the killing of a 15-year-old student in Laguna showed up on Friday near the teenagers's wake in Calamba and reportedly threatened the seventh grader's classmates.

This was according to victim Mark Anthony Miranda's four classmates who were interviewed by GMA News' Emil Sumangil.

In a report on Super Radyo dzBB, Sumangil quoted Mark's classmates —two girls and two boys attending the wake— as saying they had just gone out to go to a nearby convenient store at Purok 6, Barangay Bucal when they spotted suspect Renan Estrope Valderama.

Out of fear, the four students scampered but the suspect, a security guard, gave chase, while shouting at them: "Isusunod ko kayong apat. Kumukuha lang ako ng tiyempo."

The suspect was seen in a white shirt and pants, and wearing a white cap.

The report said the local police have already been alerted about the sighting and deployed a tracker team to hunt down the suspect.

The slain teenager's family has already requested police security around the venue of the wake.

According to the police, Miranda was shot in the head noontime of Thursday, July 4, after the suspect climbed the school's barricade.

School officials and personnel had immediately sought the help of barangay officials and the police, and rushed the victim to the nearest hospital.

Miranda passed away at 4 p.m. of the same day. — MDM, GMA News
