Passenger bus overshoots NLEX bridge railing

A passenger bus overshot a railing of a bridge along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) on Thursday morning.

The incident happened past 9 a.m. in Barangay San Felipe in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Interviewed on Dobol B sa News TV, Robin Ignacio, NLEX traffic and safety manager, said some people sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident, which also involved two trucks.

"Ang involved ay bus at dalawang truck," said Ignacio.

Despite the incident, Ignacio assured motorists that NLEX railings are up to standard.

"Base sa mga nakaraan [insidente], hindi naman po ang railing ang bumibigay. Talagang sumampa lang po yung mga sasakyan," he said. —KBK, GMA News
