Rockslide in Mariveles, Bataan misses dormitory by a few meters

A rockslide caused by heavy rains missed burying a dormitory in Mariveles, Bataan by just a few meters.

The rockslide occurred in Barangay Malaya, according to a report on GMA News TV's Balitanghali on Saturday.

Workers are hurriedly putting protective concrete cover on the rocks to prevent further sliding.

Meanwhile, in Santa, Ilocos Sur, rocks fell on the road due to heavy rains.

Residents immediately cleared the road.

In Natonin, Mountain Province, a landslide occurred, blocking a road. 

Authorities conducted clearing operations to remove the rocks.

In 2018, a landslide hit Natonin, causing the death of at least 19 people. —KG, GMA News
