7 people killed in Ifugao road accident —police official

Seven people were killed and two others hurt in a road accident in the town of Aguinaldo in Ifugao province on Wednesday morning.

Ifugao Police Provincial Office director Colonel Romeo Mangwag told Super Radyo dzBB that six passengers and the driver of an Elf truck were killed when the vehicle fell into a 10-meter-deep ravine in Barangay Lalo in Aguinaldo town at about 8:30 a.m.

Mangwag also said that two of the truck's passengers were wounded and were brought to a nearby hospital.

Police are still determining the identities of the fatalities, Mangwag said, adding that the truck was on its way to Alfonso town from Aguinaldo when it fell into the ravine.
