Strange cloud formation appears over Mount Banahaw

Residents in the towns around Mount Banahaw in Quezon province witnessed a strange cloud formation shortly before noon on Thursday, leaving some of them awestruck.

Appearing in the skies of Mount Banahaw at past 11 a.m., the thick cloud formation spiraling upward lasted about 35 minutes before it thinned away and disappeared in the skies.

Most of the residents who witnessed the show in the sky said the sight of the phenomenal could formation was their first.

The spectacular cloud formation was also seen in the towns of Sariaya, Tayabas, Lucban, and Lucena City.

In 2017, some residents also saw a strange cloud formation in the skies over Mt. Banahaw. —Peewee Bacño/LBG, GMA News
