14-year-old killed while taking selfie at a Christmas light attraction
A supposedly fun time at a Christmas light attraction in Quezon province ended tragically when a 14-year-old girl was electrocuted to death after she accidentally touched a power wire.
According to a Friday report by JP Soriano on 24 Oras, Pricila Peñaflor and her family visited the Christmas attraction in Mulanay Port when Pricila decided to take a selfie near the Christmas lights.
Police investigators said that girl accidentally touched an open live wire while taking the picture and was electrocuted.
Pricila's family were unable to pull her away from the live wire as they feared getting electrocuted themselves.
Once the main power switch was shut off, the victim was immediately brought to hospital where she was unfortunately declared dead on arrival.
Authorities were looking into who, if anyone, bore responsibility for Peñaflor's death. — Joahna Lei Casilao/DVM, GMA News
