Four killed as tricycle slams into bus in Quezon

A family on their way home from a reunion met a tragic fate when the tricycle they were riding slammed into a bus in Candelaria, Quezon.

The fatalities were identified as tricycle driver Wilson Garma, his father Cristito, niece Althea, and wife Florelyn.

The windshield and sides of both the bus and the tricycle were damaged in the collision, according to a Thursday report on 24 Oras by Maki Pulido.

Meanwhile, Garma’s mother Corazon is still in critical condition at a hospital.

The driver’s son Johnwayne and niece Ashley are already in stable condition.

According to Candelaria Police, the family was on their way home to Tiaong when the crash happened.

The bus driver belied information circulating that there was a third vehicle involved in the incident which caused the tricycle to enter the opposing lane.

The bus driver will be facing multiple charges over the collision. —Julia Mari Ornedo/LDF, GMA News
