Drone video takes closer look at Taal Volcano crater
A drone video taken by GMA News' Raffy Tima on Thursday shows Taal Volcano's crater up close.
"An even closer look at the crater of Taal Volcano. The Sunday phreatic eruption has forever changed its topography. How will an even bigger eruption affect the famed volcano?" Tima said in a tweet.
The video shows that the crater lake has dried up as the volcano continues to emit smoke. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the development is related to the movement of magma up the volcano.

Taal Volcano sent a kilometers-long column of ash into the sky last Sunday, prompting the evacuation of thousands of residents from six barangays near Taal Lake. Crops have been devastated, while livestock and wildlife have been killed.
PHIVOLCS has maintained Alert Level 4 over the volcano, meaning that a hazardous eruption is imminent, or possible within hours or days. — BM, GMA News
