Batangas confirms new case of COVID-19, total now at 3 in the province

The provincial government of Batangas on Saturday confirmed a new case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the total of infected persons in the province to three.

The new case of COVID-19 was reported by the Batangas Public Information Office, according to a report by dzBB’s Mark Makalalad.

The patient came from Lemery and is now confined at Mary Mediatrix Medical Center.

The Batangas PIO, however, did not provide details regarding the gender and age of the new confirmed case.

Meanwhile, the first two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province were from Batangas City and are now confined at a private hospital in Metro Manila. 

The Batangas PIO also did not indicate if the three new cases were already among the 64 confirmed cases announced by the Department of Health. —Ted Cordero/KG, GMA News
