Antipolo City confirms first case of COVID-19
Antipolo City in the province of Rizal confirmed Sunday morning its first case of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In an interview on Super Radyo dzBB, Antipolo City Mayor Andrea Ynares said the patient is a 60-year-old male.

Ynares said the the patient was brought to the hospital on March 9, 2020 and the initial finding was that he had pulmonary infection, and later he was found to to be COVID-19 positive.
"Wala pong dapat ikabahala ang ating constituents dahil improving po ang kanyang condition," the mayor said.
Also she said the that the city is complying with all the protocols from the Department of Health and is doing all precautionary measures to contain the spread of virus in the city.
More over, Ynares said the members of the family of the patient have not shown symptoms of the disease and all of them have no travel history abroad.
"Ang pagkakaalam namin, nagpunta ang pamilya sa City of Dreams noong February 27 hanggang 28. Wala silang travel history," she said. —LBG, GMA News
