Laguna's San Pedro City records 3 new COVID-19 cases; total now 8


Three new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases were reported in San Pedro, Laguna on Sunday, bringing the total number to eight.

Mayor Lourdes Cataquiz on Facebook said the data came from the San Pedro’s city health office.

 

According to Cataquiz, one of the cases was Patient 6 - a 59-year-old male from Barangay United Better Living.

Patient 7 was a 45-year-old male from Barangay San Antonio.

Meanwhile, Patient 8 is a 42-year-old female from Barangay Pacita II.

Cataquiz said the city health office was tracing the people who had close contact with the patients to prevent the spread of the virus.

She also urged residents to cooperate and stay at home amid the situation.

As of March 29, San Pedro reported a total of 58 persons under investigation and 147 persons under monitoring. Eight already tested negative for the virus.

Meanwhile, the Philippines had recorded 1,075 cases of COVID-19 including 68 deaths and 35 recoveries. — DVM, GMA News
