Tarlac now has nine COVID-19 cases -governor
The number of confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Tarlac already reached nine, Governor Susan Yap said Monday.
"Well, seven yesterday and two today ang dumating na additional results from RITM (Research Institute for Tropical Medicine) na nagpositive," Yap said in an interview on Dobol B sa News TV.
"We had 106 tested and ang nagnegative po dito ay 43, siyam po ang positive and we're still waiting results for about 54,” he added.
She said she continuously appeal to Tarlac residents to stay home and follow the quarantine guidelines imposed by the government, especially the practice of social distancing.
"Wala naman po tayong sawang pagsabi na magquarantine ang mga tao. The best is to stay home. Marami pa rin po ang lakwatsa nang lakwatsa eh,” Yap said.
At present, Yap said the local government is already identifying quarantine areas for COVID-19 patients as well as for persons under investigation and persons under monitoring.
Hospitals in the province are also being readied, Yap added. —AOL, GMA News
