Bayambang Pangasinan Mayor, wife recover from COVID-19

The Mayor of Bayambang, Pangasinan and his wife have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to GMA News’ COVID-19 Bulletin on Wednesday, Mayor Cezar Quiambao said he and his wife former actress Niña Jose got tested last March 16.

Quiambao said during their 14-day quarantine, they received the results that they were both positive for the disease.

The couple immediately received proper treatment and have already recovered.

However, Quiambao added they will still undergo self-quarantine anew to make sure they are fully healed.

As of Wednesday, Pangasinan has recorded 23 cases of COVID-19, including seven fatalities.

The Philippines has so far recorded a total of 2,311 cases of COVID-19 including 96 fatalities and 50 recoveries. -- Ma. Angelica Garcia/BAP, GMA News
