COVID-19 cases in Cebu City climb to 161; barangay under total lockdown
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Cebu City has climbed to 161 on Friday after 84 new cases were confirmed.
In a press conference, Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella said 82 of the new cases were from Barangay Luz while two two were from Barangay Labangon.
Because of this, Labella ordered the total lockdown of Barangay Luz.
"I am announcing that we are imposing a total lockdown of entire Barangay Luz. We have already directed [Police] Colonel [Josefino] Ligan of the Cebu City Police and [Major] General [Roberto] Ancan (Armed Forces of the Philippines Central Command, Cebu City) has been informed already of this decision," he said.
