Bacoor City orders total lockdown of Barangay Molino III
The City Government of Bacoor on Wednesday ordered the total lockdown of Barangay Molino III starting April 24 until April 30, 2020.
In an executive order, Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado Revilla on Wednesday said all minor ingress and egress roads going in and out of Barangay Molino III will be closed and barricaded by the Bacoor Police.
Further, no resident of Barangay Molino III may go out of the boundaries of the barangay and no resident outside the barangay may enter the boundary checkpoints.
Residents exempted from the lockdown are persons allowed by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases; overseas Filipino workers and government employees who will check in at Bacoor’s community quarantine facility; and suspected and confirmed cases being transported to community isolation facility and referral hospitals.
Barangay Molino III will also have a 24-hour curfew, and all residents are ordered to stay home.
The Bacoor City local government will also issue a new quarantine ID pass for all households in Barangay Molino III. The new pass will have very limited use.
Accessing food and non-food supplies by residents will be arranged by alternative means, including the Molino Online Market delivery, Mercury Drug delivery system, SM Watsons, Mobile Palengke and other rolling stores in various subdivisions within Barangay Molino III.
All public transportation vehicles will not be allowed even for personal purposes, such as franchised tricycles, public utility jeeps, public utility vehicles and UV Express.
Liquor ban is strictly imposed, and gambling and other illegal activities are also prohibited. Mass gatherings are also not allowed.
Further, home quarantining or home isolation of all suspected, probable and confirmed cases will not be allowed. Cases should be immediately referred to the City Health Office for assessment.
The executive order stated that the City Social Welfare and Development Office and the Emergency Operations Center will implement programs and inventory logistics to assist the barangay and residents of Molino III who are most affected by the lockdown.
Molino III will be prioritized in the dispensation of the Social Amelioration Program and relief distribution, it said.
Expanded testing and contact tracing will also be implemented immediately.
As of April 22, 2020, Wednesday, there are 66 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bacoor City with three new cases. Nine have died while 11 have recovered.
