Bicol reports 6 new COVID-19 cases, including 3 health workers, bringing total to 34


Bicol on Wednesday evening reported six new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), three of which are health workers, bringing the total in the region to 34.

Patient 29, an asymptomatic case, is a 25-year-old Filipino from Naga City, Camarines Sur who is a health worker, according to the Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) -- Bicol.

The patient consulted at Bicol Medical Center (BMC) on Tuesday. His exposure history is still being validated.

Patient 30 is a 64-year-old Filipina from Tabaco City in Albay.

She reportedly developed COVID-19 symptoms on April 15 and consulted at the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) on April 20, where she is currently admitted.

Patient 31 is a 19-year-old Filipino from Legazpi City, Albay and is a close contact of Patient 20.

He consulted at the BRTTH on Tuesday and has not displayed any symptoms of the virus so far.

Patient 32 is a 40-year-old Filipino health worker from Camalig, Albay. The patient consulted at BRTTH on Tuesday and is currently asymptomatic.

Patient 33 is a 43-year-old Filipina health worker from Guinobatan, Albay and consulted at BRTTH on Tuesday.

She is currently asymptomatic.

Patient 34 is a 33-year-old Filipina from Legazpi City, Albay. The patient also reportedly consulted at BRTTH on Tuesday. -Joahna Lei Casilao/MDM, GMA News
