Pampanga woman arrested for allegedly forcing daughters, stepdaughter to perform sexual acts on webcam

A 34-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly forcing her daughters and stepdaughter to perform sexual acts on webcam for customers in Angeles, Pampanga.

The Philippine National Police-Women and Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC) and the National Bureau of Investigation-Anti-Human Trafficking Division (NBI-AHTRAD) nabbed the suspect Thursday at her residence in Angeles.

Her daughters, aged 14 and six, and step-daughter, aged 11, were rescued at the scene by authorities.

The joint investigation by the NBI-AHTRAD and the PNP-WCPC was conducted following a referral from the Australian Federal Police to the Philippine Internet Crimes Against Children Center (PICACC) on March 18.

Authorities held the operation as areas in Luzon, including Pampanga, were placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) no. 1 due to Ambo.

“The NBI is fully dedicated to serve the call of justice wherever this may lead us. Today’s operation rescued three children in Region 3, proof that we will brave the distance wherever there are perpetrators abusing minors online ” said  NBI-AHTRAD chief lawyer Janet Francisco.

The suspect will face charges for violating the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act (RA 9208), with a maximum penalty of life imprisonment and a fine of P2 million to P5 million, as well as violation of RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012), RA 9775 (Anti?Child Pornography Act of 2009), and RA 7610 (Child Abuse Law).

The PICACC, a model for an enhanced global response against Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC), is a cooperation among local and international law enforcement, namely the PNP-WCPC, the NBI-AHTRAD, the Australian Federal Police, and the United Kingdom National Crime Agency (UK NCA) in partnership with International Justice Mission (IJM).—AOL, GMA News
