5 women arrested in Dipolog buy-bust operation

Five women were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)- Zamboanga del Norte and the City Drugs Enforcement Unit of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Dipolog in Sitio Anahawa, Barangay Galas, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte early Thursday morning.

The suspects were identified as Kimberly Sienes, Shiene Almerol, Honey Gin Ibao, Kissie Ajos, and Archres Bulnes.

According to the PDEA report, the suspects are considered "newly identified drug personalities" and items confiscated were six sachets of suspected shabu that weigh 15 gram with an estimated value P150,000 and drug paraphernalia.

The operatives also confiscated two pieces of 500 peso bills that were used as buy-bust money.

Among the five suspects, it was Sienes that PDEA operatives were monitoring as she is allegedly included in their target list. Sienes was also the owner of the house that, according to PDEA, was used as a drug den.

The suspects are facing charges related to Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. -- BAP, GMA News
