Ex-cop and alleged crime group hitman arrested in Bulacan
A dismissed police officer who was allegedly involved with a crime group and who had several warrants issued against him was arrested in Bulacan's Sta. Maria town, the Philippine National Police (PNP) announced on Tuesday.
On Monday, former Police Officer 3 Allan Encina Formilleza was arrested based on arrest warrants issued against him for cases of murder, estafa, and theft from three Regional Trial Court branches in Quezon City.
Formilleza was also one of the target suspects of the PNP-Anti-Kidnapping Group as he was allegedly involved with the “Gapos Gang” for which he supposedly functioned as a hitman.
The former police officer was among the subjects swept up in the PNP's Internal Cleansing Program, which, in four years, had penalized 14,432 police personnel for various administrative cases, ranging from demotion to withholding of privileges. — DVM, GMA New
