PNPA cadet dies of heatstroke at police academy
A Philippine National Police Academy cadet died of heat stroke on Wednesday, the PNPA has said.
The cadet was identified as Cadet Fourth Class Kenneth Ross Alvarado, who collapsed while participating in evening mess formation at 5:30 p.m.
Fellow cadets brought him to the Academy Health Service, which then referred him to the Qualimed Hospital in Sta Rosa City, Laguna due to difficulty of breathing.
His mother went to the hospital after she learned the incident.
“The cadet was in the hospital at about 6:05 PM and appropriate medical intervention was immediately given to the patient cadet unfortunately, he didn't make it and was declared dead at 9:56 PM," the PNPA report said. -Julia Mari Ornedo/NB, GMA News
