A total of 184 locally stranded individuals (LSIs) arrived in South Cotabato on Tuesday under the government’s Hatid Tulong Program, according to a report on “24 Oras News Alert.”
The South Cotabato Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office said that the LSIs traveled almost three days from Metro Manila onboard three buses.
Among the batch, 62 were from South Cotabato, 22 were from General Santos City, and 34 were from the Sarangani Province.
The Department of Health Region XII said that the public does not need to worry about the newly-arrived LSIs as they were immediately placed under quarantine and COVID-19 testing in accordance with protocols.
At present, there are 122 positive and active cases of COVID-19 in the region, with five recoveries.
LSIs flocked to the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex to avail the government’s Hatid Tulong Program. On Monday, the rapid test of around eight to nine LSIs produced positive results.
