19-year-old gamer dies of heart attack in Pangasinan
A 19-year-old boy passed away after suffering a heart attack while playing computer games in San Fabian, Pangasinan.
According to Russel Simorio’s report on “24 Oras” on Friday, Erwin Biasura, who has an underlying heart disease, was just playing inside a computer shop near their house when he suddenly had a heart attack.
His father, Samuel, said Erwin was immediately brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
“Pinuntahan ko dito wala ng pulso kasi. Ayun ginawa ko rin ‘yong magagawa ko para bumalik ‘yong pulso niya pero wala na,” Samuel said.
He said his son always stayed up late due to online games.
“Siguro na-excite siya sa paglalaro pero kasama na rin ‘yong puyat at tsaka ‘yong pagod kasi dito mainit kasi nasira electric fan,” Samuel said.
According to San Fabian Municipal Health Officer Dr. Jose Quiros, fatigue, sleeping problems and too much emotion may lead to heart attack.
“Bibilis ‘yong heart rate mo. Dapat iwasan mo ‘yong mga activity na nakakapagod at tsaka nakaka-excite,” Quiros said.
He emphasized that enough sleep and rest are important for people with underlying health conditions.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
