Driver, passenger hurt after collision with police mobile in Biñan
A driver and his passenger were injured after their vehicle collided with a police mobile along an intersection in Biñan City, Laguna.
According to JP Soriano’s report on “24 Oras” on Thursday, the front part of the private vehicle was damaged by the clash in Barangay Timbao.
Rescuers needed to use hydraulic tools to bring out the two victims.
The driver was immediately brought to a hospital.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said the victims were about to make a turn on an intersection when they were hit by a speeding mobile owned by the Sta. Rosa police.
The private vehicle spinned thrice while the police mobile landed on a grassy area beside the road.
The rescuers said the police were no longer on the scene of the accident when they arrived but Biñan police denied that the cops fled.
The policemen went straight to their office and are in good condition.
Biñan police said they would not identify the cops involved while they are under investigation.—Julia Mari Ornedo/LDF, GMA News
