Health protocols violated at Dagupan beach park, says city officer

Dagupan health authorities on Thursday expressed alarm over the violation of health and safety protocols at a beach park in the city amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to King Guevarra’s report on “24 Oras,” photos taken over the weekend showed several individuals at the Tondaligan Beach Park standing without observing physical distancing measures.

...Sarili natin ang nakataya,” Dr. Ophelia Rivera, Dagupan City focal person for COVID-19, said.

One of those who attended the beach at that time was zumba instructor Jhonz de Guzman.

De Guzman said that though her zumba class continued, they strictly followed safety protocols.

Meanwhile, authorities are monitoring the tourists visiting the area.
