Sagbayan town hall closed after employee tested positive for COVID-19
TAGBILARAN CITY - The municipal hall of Sagbayan town in Bohol has remained closed on Friday after one of its workers tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
No transactions would be accommodated during the indefinite closure, which started on Wednesday, the local government announced in its Facebook page.
The public market and the slaughterhouse, however, were unaffected.
A 62-year-old employee got infected with the virus is confined at the Tubigon Community Hospital.
Sagbayan Mayor Restituto Suarez III ordered that contact tracing be immediately conducted.
The municipal hall would be re-opened only until the PCR results of the employees are released.
As of Thursday, Oct. 15, Bohol has a total of 407 confirmed Covid-19 cases, 69 active cases, 235 recoveries and eight deaths. -- BAP, GMA News
