Palawan police director relieved over unsolved shooting incidents —PRO


Police Colonel Dionisio Bartolome of the Palawan Provincial Police Office has been relieved from his post due to a series of unsolved shooting incidents in the province.

In a statement given to media on Saturday, the Mimaropa Police Regional Office said Police Col. Nicolas Torre III will  temporarily replace Bartolome.

"Pursuant to General Orders  No. 236 dated November 21, 2020, the designation of PCol. Dionisio Bartolome as director of Palawan PPO was terminated. He will be temporarily replaced by PCol. Nicolas Torre III," the Mimaropa PRO statement said.

According to the Mimaropa police, "Bartolome was relieved from his post due to the series of shooting incidents that happened in his area or responsibility, which prompted the regional headquarters to temporarily take over for the immediate solution of the said shooting incidents cases."

Further, the regional police headquarters said, "the relief and designation orders were the result of the immediate and appropriate  actions help lessen the fear of Palaweños. —LBG, GMA News
