Los Baños, Laguna Mayor Caesar Perez was laid to rest over the weekend.

Thousands attended the slain mayor's funeral, according to a report on GMA News' Unang Balita on Monday.

Some motorists honked their horns to call for justice for the mayor's killing.

Perez's family reiterated that the mayor was not involved in illegal drugs despite being on the narco list revealed by President Rodrigo Duterte.

More than P1 million has been offered as a reward for information that would lead to the arrest of the killer.

Perez was gunned down on December 3 at the municipal hall by still unidentified suspects.
