Davao City extends liquor ban, curfew effectivity to Jan. 31
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has ordered that the liquor ban and curfew supposed to end on Dec. 31, 2020 be extended until Jan. 31, 2021.
In Executive Order No. 71 series of 2020, Duterte said the extension of the 24-hour liquor ban and curfew is necessary to prevent local transmission of COVID-19 in Davao City.
The city’s curfew hours are from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Mayor Duterte, daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte, lifted the 24-hour liquor ban last September 21 after six months of restrictive community quarantine.
She however reimposed it on November 2, and it was supposed to end on Dec. 31, 2020.
