Truck hits another, 6 other vehicles in Calamba

Several vehicles ended in a lump in Calamba, Laguna on Thursday after a trailer truck allegedly lost control and hit a cargo truck and six other vehicles.

According to Ivan Mayrina’s report on “24 Oras,” investigation results showed that the trailer truck was driving at a fast rate at the national highway at around 2 p.m.

“Allegedly po ito pong isang trailer truck ay nawalan ng preno,” Jeffrey Rodriguez, a resident said.

The trailer truck then hit a cargo truck and five tricycles. A car was also involved in the smash-up.

“Tinumbok nila ‘yung isang parking ng tricycle doon na kung saan ay merong limang tricycle na nakaparada,” Rodriguez said.

Meanwhile, the drivers of the two trucks were rushed to the hospital. No one else was reported injured.
