Devotees in provinces join Sto. Niño feast under shadow of COVID threat

Many devotees in some provinces participate in the  celebration of the Feast of the Sto. Niño on Sunday despite the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the photos posted on Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu’s Facebook page, devotees were spotted outside the church around noontime.

“Despite the restrictions and lack of festivity, devotees are still lining up to venerate the image of Snr. Sto. Niño,” the church said.

An image of the infant Jesus adorned with beautiful flowers is displayed in front of the basilica.

Also, the church of Sto. Niño de Tacloban celebrated the feast with novena Masses and vespers, which are broadcast on its Facebook page. —LBG, GMA News
