Fire hits warehouse in San Pedro City, Laguna
A fire hit a warehouse filled with lumber in Barangay San Antonio in San Pedro City, Laguna early Tuesday morning, according to a report on Super Radyo's DZBB.
Bureau of Fire Prevention (BFP) officials raised the third alarm at around 3:30 a.m.
San Pedro City, Laguna Mayor Lourdes Cataquiz has asked for help from nearby villages to extend some assistance to those affected by the fire.

"Sa kasalukuyan, nararanasan ng mga kababayan natin sa Southville 3A, Barangay San Antonio ang isang malaking sunog. Rumesponde na po ang ating BFP-San Pedro Laguna FS subalit hindi pa rin po sapat ang supply ng tubig dahil lubhang malayo ang lokasyon ng Southville 3A," she said in a social media post.
Cataquiz has assigned the BFP-San Pedro and CDRRMO City of San Pedro to continue to their response to the emergency.
"Nananawagan po ako sa ating mga kalapit-lungsod at mga barangay na nawa’y ipaabot po ninyo ang inyong tulong upang maapula ang malakas na apoy. Maraming salamat po! Ipanalangin po natin ang ating mga kababayan sa Southville 3A," she said.
The fourth alarm was raised at around 4 a.m.
The fire was placed under control at 8 a.m., according to a report on GMA News TV's Balitanghali.
According to the report, the warehouse is owned by D' Summit Lumber Corporation.
No one was hurt in the fire.
Investigation is still ongoing as to the cause of the fire. —BAP/KG, GMA News
