Antipolo City starts vaccination vs. COVID-19 with 100 healthcare workers
The Antipolo City government on Thursday started its inoculation against COVID-19 with its 100 healthcare workers.
According to a report of GMA News’ Jun Veneracion on GTV’s Balitanghali, the city health officer and the chiefs of public hospitals in the city received the first shots of COVID-19 vaccines from Sinovac.
At least 279 healthcare workers have signed up for the inoculation, which is around 25% of the healthcare workers in the city.
According to the city health office, the number of healthcare workers who would like to receive the jab is increasing.
However, only 300 doses of Sinovac vaccines were given to the city initially.
The Philippines is targeting to vaccinate 1.7 million healthcare workers first before proceeding to the inoculation of other priority groups. — Joviland Rita/RSJ, GMA News
