Calamba resort gets violation ticket for allowing guests amid MECQ
A resort in Calamba, Laguna was found to be operating without a permit and was given a violation ticket after it was caught accepting guests while the province remains under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).
According to John Consulta’s report on “24 Oras,” the Calamba City Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) found - through a drone video - two children within the resort.
The resort owner did not deny that 20 visitors from Parañaque City, who are not his/her immediate family members, were allowed access to the compound.
(Ma’am, we’ve been under… almost one year, we’ve been under MECQ or the pandemic.)
(The national and local government has repeatedly issued reminders residents of (health) guidelines just for you to say that you are not aware.)
The resort was given a ticket of violation and is facing sanctions by the local government unit.
(They gave P5,000 maybe so they will not be given a ticket or so our Public Order and Safety officials would allow them to continue their activities.)
(It is clear that the Barangay Captain said (the resort) still has no permit to operate)
