2 killed, 1 critical in Laguna road crash


Two persons were killed while a 12-year-old girl remains in critical condition after a vehicle driven by a village councilor hit them in Laguna province before midnight Wednesday. Radio dzRH reported that the incident occurred at the Manila East Road in Isla village in Pangil town in Laguna at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday. Sketchy initial reports identified the fatalities as Lourdes Obata, 64, and Lourdes Vega, 25. A third victim, Evelyn Dizon, 12, remains in critical condition at the Laguna Provincial Hospital. On the other hand, Felizardo Montefalcon, the driver of the vehicle that hit the three, surrendered to Laguna police Thursday morning. Montefalcon is a councilor of Kapatalan village in Siniloan town in Laguna. Pangil is a fifth-class town with a population of 20,698 people in 4,160 households. - GMANews.TV
