Subic reopens to NCR Plus tourists: What you need to know
Subic has opened its doors to tourists from the National Capital Region (NCR) Plus who have recently been allowed by the government to go on leisure travel to areas under general community quarantine and modified GCQ.
One private resort in Subic, which can normally accommodate 800 to 1,000 guests, is currently accepting visitors from 20 to 30 percent of their usual capacity, according to a 24 Oras report by Marisol Abdurahman on Friday.
Only five people are allowed in cottages which are usually good for 10 persons.
Lotgarda Cortez, finance officer of the All Hands Beach Resort, said they are constantly reminding visitors of their guidelines, and they have marshals roaming around the venue to implement safety protocols.
Cortez said swab and antigen tests were no longer required, adding that only families under one household are allowed at their resort.
"We don't accept groups [from different households]," she said.
Hotels for staycation were also opened at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Area.
Chicco Hernandez, manager of the Moonbay Marina Villas, said bookings for the coming weekend have surged.
Guests are required to take temperature check and fill out a contact tracing form. Disinfection is also regularly being done and alcohol stations are scattered across the resort
Meanwhile, a family bound for Morong, Bataan was stopped by authorities at the SBMA entrance because the children in the group were not carrying with them required swab test results.
