Picnic ends in tragedy as cousins drown in Bulacan river


A picnic ended in tragedy for three cousins who drowned in a river in Sta. Maria, Bulacan.

According to a report on "24 Oras" on Thursday, John Michael Bagaslao, 12; Abraham Flores Jr., 16; and Jade Sedo, 16, only wanted to celebrate a birthday when one of them drowned in the river.

The two then helped rescue their cousin but they failed.

Authorities tried to revive the three but they were declared dead.

In Naguilian, Isabela, a 12-year-old boy also drowned in a mini dam.

The boy was playing with his cousin when he went to a deep part of the dam. The boy did not know how to swim.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
