Tagbilaran resumes COVID-19 vaccinations


TAGBILARAN CITY — The city government  of Tagbilaran has resumed the first-dose inoculation of its residents on Monday.

In his Facebook post, Mayor Baba Yap said  it has reopened vaccination hubs for those who will get their first dose of AstraZeneca for July 19-20.

Yap said the affected priority groups under the order were A1 (health workers), A2 (senior citizens) and A3 (persons with comorbidities).

Residents have to present any national government issued ID with Tagbilaran as their address.

Persons with comorbidities have to bring medical certificate.

Currently, the city has five vaccination sites, namely: Bool Elem School (for Bool, Mansasa  and Poblacion 1); Tagbilaran Central School - for Pob 2 and Pob 3 residents);  Dao Elementary School (for Dao, TipTip, San Isidro and Cabawan residents); Booy Covered Court (for Booy, Taloto, Ubujan and Manga residents) and Tagbilaran City College (for Dampas and Cogon residents).

The vaccinees are scheduled to get their second dose in September.

As of Monday, Bohol has 237 new cases bringing the total to 8,726 cases.

There were 7, 236 recovered and 120 coronavirus-related deaths reported. -- BAP, GMA News
