4 gun running suspects arrested, over 30 firearms seized in Northern Samar port —PCG
A joint team of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday arrested four gun running suspects at the Allen Port in Northern Samar.
In an initial report, PCG spokesperson Commodore Armand Balilo said that 36 M16 rifle with magazines and three .45 caliber pistol were recovered from the suspects.
The firearms were found inside the tire compartment and on the side doors of their vehicle.
Authorities conducted the operation after receiving an intelligence report.
The suspects arrived at the Allen Port from a Ro-Ro vessel at 9:40 a.m.
Based on the information, a certain Roger Lumagan or Kamandag Lumagan with driver Wahid Iskak and an unidentified person will travel onboard Alumina Metallic Toyota Vios to Datu Piang, Maguindanao from Taguig City in Metro Manila.
