Cops nab barber for stabbing, mauling customer in Lucena City

Authorities have arrested a 23-year-old barber for stabbing and mauling his customer in Lucena City, Quezon.

Police said the incident took place in Barangay Gulang-Gulang at about 12:10 p.m. on Thursday.

According to Police Lt. Col. Ariel Tolorio Huesca from the city's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), the suspect stabbed his customer with a pair of scissors.

An initial investigation showed that the victim went to one of the barbershops in the barangay to have haircut, but the barber supposedly failed to follow the style he requested.

The customer demanded that the barber fix his haircut, triggering a heated argument. 

Suddenly, the barber attacked the customer with a stainless pair of scissors. But the suspect continued his assault after the victim parried the scissors attack.

The suspect is being detained at the CIDG detention facility, while proper charges are prepared against him. —LBG, GMA News
