Baguio hikes tourist slots a day to 5,000

Baguio has increased the allowable number of tourists a day in the city from 4,000 to 5,000.

On Facebook, the city information said Baguio has 1,000 more slots a day for leisure travel starting December 15.

"Start scheduling before slots run out, go to visita.baguio.gov.ph,” the office said.

“But more can be actually accommodated if you'll choose and book with accommodation establishments with their own triage, so contact them now,” it added.

The local government reminded tourists to travel only when their schedule was approved.

Tourists with no QR-coded Tourist Pass (QTP) won't be allowed to enter the city.

It said that only fully vaccinated individuals were allowed to enter Baguio.

Minors may present a negative result if they have yet to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Those 11 years old and younger are exempted.

Baguio City has recorded two new COVID-19 cases, bringing its active cases to 18 as of Tuesday. —NB, GMA News
