Siargao residents affected by Odette feast on relief goods brought by GMA Kapuso Foundation on Christmas Day

Residents affected by Typhoon Odette in Burgos City, Siargao Island were able to celebrate Christmas with relief goods brought by the GMA Kapuso Foundation on the holiday itself.

According to a "24 Oras" report, Tuesday, the whole Brgy. San Mateo spent Christmas on the streets as they feasted on the goods, some salted fish, and the lechon given by their captain.

Among the beneficiaries was the family of Jeanne Enoya, whose house was completely damaged by the typhoon. Despite this, she is still thankful that they are complete.

"Wala po talaga kaming pambili ng spaghetti kasi wala po talaga kaming pera (pero) sama-sama lang kami, masaya na kami," Enoya said.

"'Yung handa po namin ngayong Pasko is 'yung binigay po ng GMA Kapuso (Foundation). Salamat po."

The foundation conducted relief operations in four barangays in Burgos City. Over 2,500 individuals were given aid under the "Operation Bayanihan" project.

The GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, Shopee, GCash, Pay Maya, Zalora, Mega Mart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
