Fake NBI man, among 2 nabbed for election gun ban violation in Cavite

Two individuals, including a man who posed as an NBI agent, were arrested for allegedly violating the election gun ban in Cavite, according to the report of John Consulta on "Saksi."

A man who was questioned by cops at a checkpoint in General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite tried to explain the firearm that was found in his possession.

He also introduced himself as an agent of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

However, the authorities found out that the identification card and badge presented by the suspect were fake.

General Mariano Alvarez Police chief Maj. Gilbert Derla said the suspect was not able to show documents regarding the firearm found inside his vehicle.

The suspect, identified as John Angelo Gandionco, said he did not know that the ID and badge given to him by an acquaintance were fake.

Gandionco told GMA News that he regrets his actions and that he knows he did something wrong.
