Magnitude 5 quake shakes Davao de Oro

A 5.0-magnitude earthquake hit near the town of Monkayo in Davao De Oro late Friday evening, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

The quake that was tectonic in origin with a depth 18 kilometers occurred at 10:14 p.m.

Intensity IV was felt in the towns of Rosario in Agusan del Sur and Maco, Davao de Oro while Intensity II was felt in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.
