Cops nab drunk driver after 30-minute car chase in Cavite
Two drunk Chinese nationals, who skipped a checkpoint, were arrested by Imus City policemen after a 30-minute car chase, according to Emil Sumangil’s report in 24 Oras.
During the police chase, the cops called for back up to corner the SUV at an intersection. However, the SUV hit the responding mobile patrol, made a U-turn then sideswiped another motorcycle.
The chase ended after 30 minutes. The driver and his companion are in custody and will be facing charges for damage to property and for violating the Drunk Driving Law.
“Sobrang pagkalasing niya. During sa aming habulan, ‘yun pong Chinese national na 'yan ay binangga niya po ng tatlong beses ang ating mobile patrol,” Plt. Col. Jun Alamo, Imus PNP Chief-of-staff, said.
