Minor yields P1.02-M worth of suspected shabu in Cavite
A 17-year-old minor was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Talaba 6 in Bacoor, Cavite on April 3, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Operatives of Special Operations Units 4A (SOU-4A) and Drug Enforcement Unit of Bacoor City Police Station arrested the male suspect, the PNP said in a statement.
The police recovered from him suspected shabu weighing 150 grams with a street value of at least P1.02 million.
The PNP said his two adult cohorts, Drexter “Tabo” Buenaventura and a certain “Nora”, eluded arrest during the operation.
“We have also coordinated with the DSWD due to the involvement of a minor in the illegal drug operation. The other two suspects are now subject to a follow-up operation,” PNP Chief General Dionardo Carlos said.
“But I congratulate our police personnel for the relentless effort to conduct anti-illegal drug operations,” he added.
The seized pieces of evidence are now under the temporary custody of SOU-4A for documentation and proper disposition. —Mel Matthew Doctor/KG, GMA News
